Family Home Evening

We had Family Home Evening this past Monday and talked about Alma the Younger (this seems to be a frequent story in our FHE's!). Anyway, Matthew decided we should act it out (I'm sure this solidified all the gospel principles we were trying to impress upon his mind). We thought it was enjoyable to watch so here it is! Matthew is SURE to be a star one day!

ALMA THE YOUNGER - A DRAMATIZATION

Narrator: Jenny

Camera crew: Woodson

Alma the Younger: Matthew

Angel's Hand: Jenny

Alma's friends: Jenny

Random wicked people: Nicole

This little hottie is Jenny on our last trip to Kona! She is the only one who was able to ride the wave!! It was at least a 6 foot wave! Everyone else thought she was so cool....and she will be mortified when this gets posted. So I need support for how cool she is!

Tagged - I've officially entered the blogging world!

This proves it - I am officially a blogger! I have been "tagged" (thank you Brittney!) which I figure must mean I am now fully initiated into the blogging world and since I am going to fulfill this "tag" I can now consider myself a contributing part of the blogging community! By the way, I think I'll start calling it "bloggin' " now - sounds so much cooler. Like I've been doing it my whole life.
So - 3 favorite snacks
1. cereal - I know this has been mentioned by others (Sarah, if I knew how to do it, you'd be a link here) so I will mention a few favorite kinds: Raisin Bran Crunch, Cracklin Oat Bran, Honey Nut Cheerios, Honey Bunches of Oats (the blue kind).
2. homemade toast with butter and honey
3. many kinds of sweets - here I will steal from Natalie (pretend link here) and say graham crackers with chocolate frosting (which have sat overnight, of course), brownies with ice cream (does that count as a "snack" or is it just a dessert?), and currently Easter candy (which I am supposed to be saving but keep sneaking out of the pantry)

Our little pool sharks

Our friends Leon and Ashley came and stayed with us this past weekend (yay!) with their boys, Matthew, Luke and Andrew. Our Matthew LOVES Luke and had a great time playing with him. Here they are posing by the pool table - what little stud muffins! They had been watching their dads play and wanted to play so badly but this is as close as they got!
It was so much fun having them here! If anyone else ever wants to come visit us, please do! We love having visitors!

Things we like

Lately Nicole has been trying to get me to take her clothes off all the time. She always wants to be naked! So today when I got her up from her nap this is what I found. She had managed to take her shirt off - well, kind of! She got it over her head and was pretty proud of herself. She was happy to hang out that way. Guess I've talked about how beautiful her body is a little too much!

Pay no attention to that embarrassing wet spot on the front of Nicole's pants.

Just Another Day at Home

This is our little Tweedle Dee just hanging out in her tights. . . Look at that pose. . . she's gonna LOVE these pictures one day.

Just Another Day at Home

Although he tells us
every once in a while that he wants to run so his body won't turn into a "piece of couch" (I think this is some twist on "couch potato"), this is still a favorite position of Matthew's - popcorn cup clutched in his arm, lounging on the couch with his shirt up!

Documenting Valentine's Day

They're in!

Well, I received my sweetheart's dance pictures via email today and knew I needed to document the occasion. After all, when was the last time we had a picture of just us dressed up without food or spit up on us in front of a cute backdrop? Come to think of it, we've never had that - at least not with each other!

We were all looking good that night, let's admit it. I may have not been wearing a crushed velvet dress with shoulder pads that matched the backdrop but I definitely felt I was pulling out all the stops with the nylons with only one run in them and a subtle application of eye shadow. And my partner. . . well, what can I say? This is the first dance photo I have gotten where my date was downright HOT!
